Cascada star Natalie Horler has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
The singer, 38, shared a video on her Instagram page revealing her diagnosis after developing symptoms such as a fever, headache and loss of smell and taste.
Natalie, who lives in Germany, reassured her fanbase that she feels ‘okay’ in herself and that she ‘most likely’ just has a mild strain of the virus.
Revealing her feelings on the diagnosis, she said: ‘I’m afraid I have been tested positive for the corona virus…I’m still getting used to the thought, but saying that- nothing much changes about my everyday life really.
Natalie went on to admit that nothing much will change because she has already been staying at home, adding: ‘I’ve been self isolating for ages now anyway and now I’ll just not leave the house at all for the next 14 days and be in full-blown quarantine.’
She concluded by assuring fans that her case appears to be non-life threatening: ‘My case will most likely be mild, so the most important thing is to protect everyone else who may be at risk. So please continue to STAY HOME! Lots of love, nat x #stayhome.
Earlier in the day, the German Dance act star took to her Instagram Stories to reveal she had taken a test for the virus because she wanted to ‘know for sure’ if she had it.
After ringing for medical advice, the star was told she didn’t qualify for a test as she hadn’t been in any ‘high risk’ areas or come into contact with a ‘confirmed case’.
However after deciding she really wanted to know whether she had contracted the deadly infection, Natalie paid €128 to take a test.
Following her announcement that she had tested positive, Natalie received hundreds of comments below the post from fans sending their well-wishes.
Natalie has been documenting her self-isolation journey on Instagram, regularly sharing pictures of herself indoors as she keeps busy during the quarantine.
On Monday she shared a picture of herself in a wooly hat and sunglasses, alongside the caption: ‘Finally went out for a walk and got some fresh air…
‘Still keeping enough distance to anyone I came across, of course #selfisolation ##day6 #imstayinghome #socialdistancing #enjoyedthatwalk #wecandothis.’
