Members of Abia State House of Assembly have finally reconvened for legislative duties after 8 weeks break.
ABN TV Reports that This is following the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent restriction of movement announced in the state by governor Okezie Ikpeazu, a measure to curb the spread of the virus.
It is expected that the Abia Assembly will pay attention to the post-COVID-19 economic recovery of the State during plenary.

Members of the Assembly had earlier distributed food palliatives and PPEs to their various constituents to cushion the effect of the hardship brought by the outbreak of COVID-19, says Speaker of ABHA, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji in a press statement.
