A three-member female arms smuggling syndicate have been arrested by the police.
The suspects who were paraded before newsmen in Abuja were identified Eleanor Yowei, Favour Bello and Priye Jimmy.
Eight hundred and eighteen ammunition was hidden in a twenty-five-kilogram bag of rice were recovered from the suspects arrested while travelling from Kano to Bayelsa state.
Eleanor Yowei reportedly handed over the bag containing rice and ammunition to Favour Bello for onward delivery to Priye Jimmy, but luck ran out on them when the bag was searched at a motor park in Kano.
