In an effort to mitigate the economic occasioned by the outbreak of COVID-19, the Minister of States for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah on Friday offered palliatives to members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Abia State Chapter.
Ogah who was the APC governorship candidate in the state was represented the Director of Finance Uche Ogah Campaign Organization, Mr. Mike Okorie, handed over the palliatives to the union.
The items include bags of rice and tins of tomatoes.
Receiving the items, the chief of staff to the state chairman NURTW and the state auditor, chief comrade Chidiebere Okaraka Anyanwu expressed gratitude to Ogah over the gesture.

He was accompanied by Comrade Monday Akaniru, member board of trustee of the NURTW Abia state chapter.
Speaking with ABN TV, Mr. Anyanwu said “we don’t have gold or silver to pay him back but what we will do is to pray to God to guide him to give him the strength to continue to do this good gesture cause it’s not easy, some people have more than Uche Ogar but can’t give to anybody, so the members of the NURTW before the sharing will pray and tell God to bless him and give him life in abundance”
Chief Chinedu Obilo the adviser on Abia matters to the Hon. minister of state mines & steal development, Hon. Uchechukwu Ogah stated that ever since the commencement of the distribution of palliatives by the honorable minister, its gone wild to the reach of every Abian including the disabled. He also said that the maximum target is to get to everyone at the grass-root level, stating that more are still to come.
