Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has reiterated the commitment of the Assembly to ensure quick passage of Abians in the Diaspora Bill.
The Bill he stated, “seeks to harness the potentials of Abia State citizens in the Diaspora and create an enabling environment for them to seamlessly and fully participate in the sociopolitical and economic development of the State”.
While felicitating with them in this year’s National Diaspora Day, the Speaker in a statement issued on Saturday extolled the contributions of Nigerians in Diaspora to the nation’s development.
He expressed gratitude to the federal government for setting aside the July 25 every year as National Diaspora Day.
