Maduka Okoro, the media aide to Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, the senator representing Abia North has taken a swipe at Mr. Don Ubani, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Abia deputy governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu for criticising Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji and his principal.
Don Ubani has come under heavy criticism recently for questioning the motive behind Speaker Chinedum Orji’s visit to Sen. Kalu at his Abuja residence last week.
Maduka Okoro while expressing anger and disappointment over Ubani’s outburst accused him of trying to warm his way into the hearts of his paymasters to enable him beg for assistance to offset his house rent and feed himself.
“Don Ubani owes apology not only to Ndi Abia, not only to Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, he owes apology to God. God owns this Abia state and if he does not apologise, God is going to visit him.

“I think he still has personal grievances against T.A Orji, he should go there. Maybe he’s probably begging for money because he loves to beg for money. Remember, he had a problem with Okezie Ikpeazu. He said Okezie Ikpeazu was buying SUVs for people and he has not been empowered.
“Now look at him. He has been made Deputy Chief of Staff. He’s not attacking Okezie Ikpeazu again. Remember, I want to take him back. When we were in the media team, he said a whole lot against my principal Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu which was never substantiated. But because he was trying to fill up his pocket at the media team which was being run by Eze Chikamnayo and other of his friends.
“This is what happened. He said he was going to unearth some things against Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu and I kept quiet. He never did that up till today and now that he’s looking for vehicles, he’s looking for money. Probably he doesn’t have money to pay for his house rent or even eat. Being Deputy Chief of Staff doesn’t mean anything. What he needs to do is to ask God to show him the way” he said.
Okoro expressed surprise that Don Ubani whom he said was a bus conductor in Port Harcourt before Orji Uzor Kalu when he became governor “took him from the trash, washed him, cleaned him, took him to the market and bought him clothes and Don Ubani became a different Don Ubani” could attack the man that made him.
