The Minister of States for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah has denied making uncomplimentary remarks against Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, APC leader in Abia.

The Minister was quoted to have said that he will not be in any meeting to be chaired by an ex-convict.

Reacting to the report, the SSA Special Duties to Dr. Ogah, Hon. Demian Igbokwe said such a comment never emanated from the Minister of States.

He insisted that it was concocted by political enemies to pursue what he called their demonic division in Abia politics.

“The attention of the Honourable Minister of State of Mines and Steel Hon Uche Ogah OON has been drawn to a misleading story in which he was quoted as saying that he cannot attend a meeting chaired by an ex-convict.

“The truth of the matter is that this is a lie from the pit of hell concocted by political enemies to pursue their demonic division in Abia politics where none exists.

“There is no controversy as to the role of Dr. Uche Ogah, the current Minister from Abia and Senator Orji Uzo Kalu, the current chief Whip of the Senate in Abia politics and it is grossly immoral for any person or group of persons with their evil motive to drive an imaginary political wedge between the Honourable Minister and the Distinguished Senator. Senator Orji Kalu has been set free by a court of competent jurisdiction(Supreme Court) and so there is no basis for this contrived lies and propaganda!

“The Honourable Minister denies the story intoto and advised the mischief-makers to get themselves lawfully engaged rather than looking for an avenue to create crisis amongst the sons and daughters of Abia who are poised to rescue Abia State from political and economic doldrums” he stated.
