The Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Prof Gregory Ibe has made offer of automatic employment to son of former PDP chairman in Abia, Chief Alfredo Awah.

He made the announcement when he paid a visit to the ailing former PDP chairman at his residence.

While praying for Chief Awah’s recovery, Prof. Ibe called Abians to always put political leaders in their prayers.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the university’s head of Media and Public Relations, Sleek Ogbonnaya Ogwo, Prof. Ibe noted that constant prayers for those in authority will help them lead with the fear of God.

“Speaking at the residence of the former chairman of Abia State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Alfredo Awah, Prof Ibe contended that it is the will of God that fervent prayers, intercessions, and supplications be constantly rendered on behalf of people in authority.

“According to Prof Ibe, God enjoins us to prayerfully support our leaders so that they can lead with his fear and reverence. That is why I encourage PDP faithful and indeed all Abians to continue interceding for our former party Chairman Chief Alfredo Awah, who has been plagued by sickness for some time now. I believe strongly that our moral and spiritual support will act as catalysts to his healing” the statement read.

In his response, Chief Awah expressed gratitude over the visit and prayed God to reward Prof. Ibe abundantly.

ABN TV gathered that the visit featured intercessory prayers for Chief Awah’s quick healing.

Prof Ibe was accompanied on the visit by many political stalwarts including former Commissioners and Local Government Council Chairmen.

“A prominent politician, Chief Alfredo Awah was chairman of Abia PDP when the party was in opposition to the then ruling Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) in the state” the statement concluded.
