The Imo State governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma has alleged that some senior staff of the electoral umpire, INEC are members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Uzodinma who was recently declared the winner of the 2019 governorship election in Imo State by the Supreme Court also alleged that once elections are not in favour of the PDP, the INEC staff upturn them.

He reiterated that his votes which were supposed to be included in form EC8B were not included, leaving the space blank, a development that prompted him to seek judicial intervention.

Uzodinma, a former member of the Senate stated that his votes in 388 polling units were neither canceled by the INEC nor included in his votes.

According to him, the Police were issued a subpoena to present the result available to them, which he explained tallied with what APC agents at various polling units had, leading to the final decision of the Supreme Court.

He said the Appeal Court agreed with their arguments but later changed their minds for undisclosed reasons.

The Supreme Court had in January sacked the PDP candidate in the Imo governorship election in 2019, Emeka Ihedioha, declaring the APC candidate, Sen. Hope Uzodinma the winner.
