BREAKING: Abia Markets To Open 3 Times Weekly — State Government

The Abia state government has announced an adjustment in the number of times markets in the state are to function every week as the gradual easing of lockdown commences on Monday, May 11, 2020.

A release signed by the Secretary to State Government/Chairman, Inter-ministerial Committee on COVID-19, Barr. Chris Ezem said this adjustment came following further consultations with market leaders and other stakeholders in the state.

“All markets in the state shall now open only 3 times a week viz: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9am to 3pm daily.

“All other previously issued guidelines remain as earlier announced.” the statement read.
