Few days after a former governorship candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti dumped the party, another chieftain in Arochukwu has left the cock party.

Hon. Mazi Nnanna Ngwu along with his supporters on the 7th of August 2020 announced their exit from APGA to APC.

A chieftain of APC in Arochukwu, Nwa Mazi Agodi Okoro, a former State House of Assembly aspirant in 2019 expressed happiness that Hon. Mazi Nnanna Ngwu is joining the APC fold.

Hon. Mazi Nnanna Ngwu was formally received by the leader of APC in Abia and Senate Chief Whip, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu along with Hon. Benjamin Kalu, member representing Bende federal constituency and Spokesperson of House of Representatives.

Hon. Ngwu was the Deputy Director General (DDG), Abia North campaign for Dr Alex Otti.

Nwa Mazi Agodi Okoro while maintaining that the defection of the former reps member to APC is a good development said it will help in securing victory for APC in 2023.

Sen. Kalu while handing over the party’s membership card to Mazi Nnanna Ngwu said he is an old ally who is tested, trusted and has so much capacity in helping the party grow in the LGA .

The former Abia governor praised Nwa Mazi Agodi Okoro and other stakeholders of the party for their good works in the party so far.

He also promised that the roads from Ohafia- Ihechiowa- Arochukwu road will be given serious attention in his time as a serving senator and a host of other issues discussed.

The Arochukwu LGA Apc party chairman Mazi John Ikechukwu Okoro a.k.a John Million on behalf of the members of the party in attendance thanked everyone for attending.

He appealed to everyone to continue to support the party and the Senator representing Abia North, Sen. Orji Kalu.

He moved a motion passing a vote of confidence on the Senator on his performances so far in the nation and Abia North precisely.
